All About Dining In the Desert

Sounds funny doesn’t it? But the desert in Dubai can bring to you a lot more than quad bikes, four wheel drives, camel safaris and other activities. Wait till you explore the potential of the overnight desert safari in Dubai… More than everything else, the over night camp in the desert is captivating and satiating. For those who aren’t completely aware of what the possibilities are at these camps, here goes…

An overnight camp promises a wonderfully relaxed experience under the stars after an active evening on the sand dunes. The moment you enter the desert camp you will be greeted by hospitable Arabs who will show you to your seat and serve you traditional Arabic coffee with dates. The camp site normally has a centre stage, pillows and mattresses surrounding it and circling this area are the tents you might want to relax in if need be.

Dinner will involve barbecued meat as starters, a main course and dessert as well. Salads are also part of the main course. Every Dubai travel service makes it a point to have barbeque at their camp sites. So if it’s a barbeque dinner you’re after, you don’t need to worry.

And of course, the most pleasant part of dining at the desert is the belly dancer who performs her flowing dance on the centre stage. At the camps arranged by One World Travels you might also get a chance to learn a few belly dancing moves on request, while at the camp.

Puffing Shisha

Dubai holidays are full of adventures. There is so much at Dubai which you will rarely come across at any other place in the world. Arabic culture cannot be separated from shisha. Touring Dubai without puffing it will be an incomplete experience of Arabic life.

Shisha is an oriental tobacco pipe with a long flexible tube connected to a container where the smoke is cooled by passing through water. It is a famous pass time of the Arabs. You will come across shisha almost in every direction in Dubai. You will repeatedly see people in their free time sitting at the street side cafĂ©, chatting with friends and leisurely smoking their shisha. It is familiar with the name ‘hubble bubble’. The tobacco for this is prepared in a specific way. It is soaked in fruits’ peel then is placed in the bowl which is at top of the pipe structure. An aluminum foil covers the bowl and small charcoal pieces are then placed on the foil, which is punctured using a pin for heating the tobacco gently. Smooth, sweet-smelling vapour is filtered through the base containing water, when smoked using the hose. It is found in many flavours, the most popular one is the apple flavour. Other flavours are pineapple, strawberry, apricot, grape, rose, coconut, vanilla and mint. Desert Safari Dubai will serve you shisha frequently during your tour. This smoking session can last from 30 minutes up to an hour.

Our Dubai travel services aim to give you all the experiences of Arabic life. So we provide every little thing that Arabic culture is known for.

The Ship of the Desert

In UAE, the camel is also known as the ship of the desert. With its help, many tourists have toured through the vast land of sand. Everyone loves to hop on a camel and enjoy the placid ride across the sand dunes. While on a camel safari in Dubai, you can also attain some first hand experience on the life of the nomads who made their living in the deserts of Dubai.

One important destination you should not miss while on a camel safari in Dubai is visiting the camel farms. Make sure you make your bookings through a Dubai travel service that offers visiting the camel farms as a part of their tour package. On your visit to these farms, it is best to gather information about these camels from the caretakers themselves. Many of them are helpful and give information regarding camel breeding as well. Camels are fed twice a day. You can stroll around the farm and also watch the caretakers feed camels with clovers, oats and dates. You can freeze the time you spend here into photographs. It is much more enjoyable to visit these camel farms during the evenings. Some of the famous camel farms are located at the Al Aweer section on a desert near Dubai. Get in touch with a good Dubai travel service to ensure that your trip is worthwhile.

We at desert safari Dubai are one of the best across UAE when it comes to arranging such tours and visits. Get in touch with us for further details.
